Hot Brewed Coffee

Irish Coffee requires genuinely hot, genuinely good coffee — brewed strong, served within minutes. Drip coffee is fine. The drink's structure is a column of hot coffee-whiskey-sugar topped with cold lightly whipped cream; the drinker sips the hot liquid through the cold cream, and the coffee must be hot enough to justify the structure.
