Dry Red Wine
A dry red wine — Rioja, Tempranillo, or Grenache — for Sangria.
Fortified & Sparkling Wines Spain (for Sangria traditionally) 13% ABV
Flavor profile: fruityboozy
A Sangria is only as good as the wine in it. Use a dry, fruit-forward red — Rioja, Tempranillo, Garnacha, or an inexpensive Côtes du Rhône. Avoid anything so expensive it would be better sipped on its own, and anything so cheap and tannic that it overwhelms the fruit.
